What is ART?
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a revolutionary approach to treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and many other emotional and mental health problems. Clients often feel relief in as few as 1 – 5 sessions. Many problems that have been addressed for years – even decades in talk therapy, can be processed and resolved quickly.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain, so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. An ART session is very straightforward, using relaxing eye movements and a technique called Voluntary Memory/Image Replacement to change the way in which the negative images are stored. The end result is that life experiences will no longer trigger strong, disproportionate emotional or physical reactions.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART doesn’t require you to verbally relive every detail of your experience. Instead, you stay in control while your therapist guides you through a process that shifts how the brain stores traumatic events. It’s not about erasing the past, but rather changing how it lives in your mind. Much like all therapy, this is a highly individualized process tailored to your specific needs, history, and goals.
If you're looking for a gentle but effective way to move forward from painful experiences, ART might be the right fit for you.
