I am a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in adult mental health. My treatment modality is strengths-based; I primarily use IFS (Internal Family Systems), mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I am also an experienced and Certified Clinical Supervisor, qualified to provide supervision to Licensed Social Workers in New Jersey.
I obtained a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career as a social worker and psychotherapist. I have a background in teaching and theatre arts, which has given me insight into how we learn, grow, and create new behaviors. In addition to my private practice, I have worked as a staff therapist at a community mental health outpatient clinic in Northern New Jersey, led several support and therapy groups, and taught graduate counseling students at a New Jersey university.
I am the mother of two young adults and a rescue mutt named Mofungo. I love finding joyful ways to move my body and connect with friends, tapping into my creativity, and learning new things. Matters of social justice and equality are also central to my life.
